European Demeter Standards
Seagreens® was Europe’s first organically certified ‘ocean-to-table’ seaweed producer. In 2004 Seagreens® were also approved to European Demeter Standards (the UK Biodynamic Agricultural Association) for use in Biodynamic and Organic foods and farming systems.
In 2007 Demeter approval was extended to the United States of America under Biodynamic® and NOP Organic Standards.

Soil Association Organic Standards
Since the outset of production in 1997 Seagreens® have been wild harvested, produced and distributed in accordance with organic production and processing practices as defined within the UK Soil Association Organic Standards.

Certified Contaminant Free
Seagreens® are certified free of all likely ocean-borne contaminants, toxic metals and microbial pathogens by The Centre for Food Innovation at Sheffield Hallam University (Britain’s leading centre in food industry research and management) and by government accredited laboratories in England, Scotland, Norway and other countries.
This is your assurance that Seagreens® products are free of PCBs, organotins, organophosphates, aromatic hydrocarbons, toxic metal pollutants like arsenic, cadmium, lead, mercury and other toxic metals, and pathogenic bacteria like coliforms, e.coli, enterobacteria, moulds, rubella, staphylococcus aureus, salmonella and vibrio species.
GMO & Irridation Free
GMO Free
Seagreens® wild seaweeds are not the progeny of genetically modified organisms or of products derived from the same. Seagreens® are not known to be capable of contamination by genetically modified organisms.
Irradiation Free
Seagreens® are not knowingly irradiated at any point in their production or distribution to the consumer and comply with EU Council Directive 90/937 EEC for radioactivity.
European & US Pharmacopeia
Seagreens® technical specifications meet the requirements of European and US Pharmacopeias. Seagreens® wild Ascophyllum nodosum seaweed complies with the British Herbal Pharmacopoeia for Ascophylli thallus (Fucacae).
Vegan Society Animal Free Standards
Seagreens® are registered with the Vegan Society as complying with thier Animal Free Standards and consequently have permission to use the Vegan logo.
